Operating under the conviction that the Bible is a vital tool for daily living, BSL works to ensure scriptures are heavily subsidized, affordable, and accessible to everyone in formats they prefer.
The Bible Society of Lesotho (BSL) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and interdenominational Christian organization dedicated to translating, publishing, and distributing the Holy Scriptures across Lesotho. It operates as a member of the global fellowship of United Bible Societies.

Bible Translation
To ensure every Mosotho can access the Word of God in a language they understand best, our translation ministry is committed to producing accurate, clear, and trustworthy Scripture translations. We continue to support and strengthen Bible translation work in Sesotho while also partnering in translation initiatives for other language communities in Lesotho, including siPhuthi, so that more people can encounter God’s Word in their heart language. Bible translation remains a vital foundation of our mission to make the Scriptures available, accessible, and relevant to all people in Lesotho.
Bible Publishing & Production
The Bible Society of Lesotho is committed to producing and distributing God’s Word in formats that are accessible, relevant, and affordable for all people. We work to ensure that Bibles and Scripture resources are available in a variety of formats, including printed editions, digital platforms, and audio resources, helping individuals, churches, schools, and communities engage with the Bible in ways that best meet their needs. Through quality production and innovative distribution methods, we strive to make the life-changing message of Scripture available throughout Lesotho and beyond.

We do not only translate and publish the Scriptures; we are passionate about placing God’s Word into the hands and hearts of people throughout Lesotho. Through an effective distribution network, we make Bibles and biblical resources accessible and affordable across the nation, reaching communities in towns, villages, schools, churches, and underserved areas. Our mission is to ensure that every person has the opportunity to engage with the transforming message of the Bible.
